When Will You?

Have you forgotten me?
Have we lost all those years
when we laughed, when we played,
when we both shed our tears?
The times you were lonely so many a day,
I tried to be there but you pushed me away.

I can’t see your age or the failures you see;
Just your feelings, your heart and your true honesty.
Now is the time to stand by my side
and be that true friend you’ve succeeded to hide.

For I am the one that you never come to,
and I am the one that could help see you through.
Will you test me each day till you know that I care?
If you look in the mirror. . . .

I'll always be there.
