Two
Pearls In His Hand

From where I
came in a darkened hole, a grave can hold no
light. And where I go, I follow my soul to
escape the tormenting night. What am I missing
that I’ve missed before, in the darkness that I
sought to hide? And where will I be when
tomorrow begins if He shatters the grave open
wide?
Only to change
this deadened path, by God that is with me
today. And onward I go and I don’t look back,
lest I see if there’s some other way. A heart
to the Lord is a pearl in the sea. . .for many a
year will it grow. And plucked from its shelter
when needed to be. . .its beauty and value to
show.
I have two loved ones that keep me in
prayer; Two pearls He has held in His
Hand. They’re plucked from their shelter when
needed to be, until I am able to
stand.

From where I am now at the
mountain’s floor. . .a height I can’t possibly
climb. And where I be, I’ve been before, from
some other place and time. A path that He’s
chosen, I journey upon from the past to the
present, I stand. And onward I climb, and yet I
descend, to find that I’m where I
began.
And where I go, I cannot know, by
His Promise I hold ever tight. From where I
came in a darkened hole, to escape the tormenting
night.
I have two loved ones that keep me
in prayer; Two pearls He has held in His
Hand. They’re plucked from their shelter when
needed to be, until I am able to
stand.
