To
Shell Island

Farewell my
falter, for my feet are stable now. Soon
I’ll leave this desert where the eagles never
flew, when one day tomorrow I will not come
back to you.
From the mountains through
this valley; Silently, I'll steal away, and
give back all the torment you have placed
upon the ones who stay. My desire has been
calling~ Deeper now, within my
heart; Soon, I hope to leave you to
rebuild what you have torn apart.

This has been
my destiny. . . . 'to find myself upon her
shore.' My life begins again the day your
memories are nevermore. Like the night that
never ends, is the time I’ve taken to
prepare; I’ll still cross over. . . . the
moon and sun will guide me there.
Each morning I'm beside
her, she'll say to me that all is
well; Blue-green waters, warm white
beaches On her island known as
‘Shell.'
