Secure In My Father’s Love

I still remember your loving touch and I can remember your smile.
For I am not bound by earthly thoughts that would stay with me just for a while.
I remember your eyes that pierced my soul and connected your heart to mine.
Now nothing can sever those bonds of love. . .not even these years of time.

When I awoke from my sleep that morn' and reached out to touch the dawn,
I rode the wings of the morning wind to journey where I belong.
I know it has taken me far from you and carried me high above,
but until I am back in your arms once again, I’m secure in my Father’s Love.

Sometimes I’ll walk to the edge of the sea to touch your reflection below
and whisper my thoughts to your dreams at night. . .sent down from a Celestial Soul.
Thank you for ‘life’ that you both gave to me, though it was but a moment, I knew
that one day it wasn’t meant to be when taken so quickly from you.

Although I am young, my soul understands and can see what you only dream of.
An Eternity here, in the Presence of God. . .I’m secure in my Father’s Love.
