Love~Its music may be
different to each of us, but oh, how beautiful the
dance."
- Flavia Weedn
Said My Mind Unto My
Heart
“You’re feeling too much for
him,” said my mind unto my heart. “Your repeats have shown
you love him. Are you wise again, to start?”
“I cannot
answer wisely,” said my heart unto my mind. “I only feel I
love him, and hope it’s right this time. There are things
you do not know of and it’s hard for me to say, but all
your knowledge is not worth a dime to me today. Your words
are much persuasive and your fear's not far behind. So
tonight you shall not counsel," said my heart unto my
mind.
“His lips could soon
betray,” said my mind unto my heart, “when he speaks with
you today. . .when he tears my thoughts apart. Carefully
look into his eyes. Is it love you see in there? Has he
fooled you with disguise or even told you that he
cares?”
“There is something I must say,” said my heart
unto my mind. “Let us get it straight today for you must
understand this time. . . . It’s because of you I’m
doubtful. Not of this love, that’s new, and the slyful ways
you have instilled the heartaches I’ve been through. You
never cease reminding me the many times of grief. With all
that I have lost to love, I’ll find my own
relief.
There’s a chamber given to me that is from my
God, above. If you'll try to understand this time, I’ll
tell you what it’s of. . . .
Strength—to go on caring
when someone else has lied. Love—to keep on giving. This
part is magnified. Special Tears—used only for the
cleansing of the soul. Ability—to try again when someone
lets me go. Beauty—that I feel belongs to only
me. Spirit—so that when I die, from you, I
would be free!
It’s not your fault you cannot feel
emotions I go through, but if you learn to trust in me,
I’ll learn to trust in you. And if by chance he fails me
and he leaves me all alone, I’ll seek what knowledge you
may give, to learn what you have known.
Our rapport
will always be, so keep in mind once more. . . . Knowledge,
you must give ‘in love’, for that’s what wisdom’s
for.”
