Dancing In The Heavens

I walked along the river's trail as the music softly
plays; Orchestrating far beyond the pastel sunlit rays. The
sun almost descended as the evening came to be; A majestic
painted canvas for all the world to see.
I thought I saw some
movement through a rainbow-colored storm, but such, was just
beyond my sight, this transparent, twirling form. A bird that
swept across the sky heard too, the wind's romance and let the
wings of angels guide him to the dance.
Higher, toward the heavens as he
faded from my sight. And my heart cried out to join him on his
last, Eternal Flight. The need burned deep within me for the God
that I so love; I forgot about this earthly place as I fixed my
eyes above.

The wind blew all around me and I
too, had soared the sky; My spirit free from bonds within a heart
needing to cry. There were no solemn faces~no harps, or looks
beware. . . Dancing in the heavens were angels
everywhere.
These smiling faces brightened when our time came
to an end, for they knew one day, forever, we would dance this
way again. Yes, my spirit saw a place my eyes could never
see. And I became a part of what was waiting there for
me.
Again, I found myself alone as the music softly
plays; Orchestrating far beyond the pastel sunlit rays.
