A Time To
Discover
The Forest
Guardian, Bo-Lin, Fawn, and Bramblewood went to the
sea-shore and spent some time teaching Bramblewood
how to use a mask and snorkel. This was his first time seeing the ocean and
certainly seeing what it looks like underwater. Fawn
stayed near the edge of the forest and the Forest Guardian
swam with them. She let them swim ahead just a little
so they could explore on their own and have some fun by
themselves but she always kept a close eye on them.
They saw
different species of fish, coral, and shells. Bramblewood
had never seen anything as beautiful as this. He thought
about the lake near his home and wondered if it looked
like the ocean. He will have to ask Forest Guardian and
see what she says. Either way, he planned on finding out.
Because they
were in the shallows, the sun reflected beautifully on the
sand and sent colors spraying across the ocean's bottom.
They came up for air frequently and sometimes they would
float and swim on the surface with their faces down
watching their little underwater world.
It was strangely
quiet in the water. Bramblewood never knew such quiet even
existed. 'How could I have missed so much in my life? Why
did I wait so long to explore beyond my home?' Bramblewood
thought to himself. 'I shall be sure never to fear
exploring again. I'm sure there is still so much more
in the world to see.'
After a long
while of swimming they both reached the shore and rested.
"That was the most beautiful and amazing thing I had ever
seen!" Bramblewood said excitedly. "Bo-lin, I have a lake
where I live and I am sure it is beautiful in there, also.
Would you like to come visit me one day and we can both go
swimming?"
"That would be
great fun!" Bo-lin replied. "I would love to come and
visit you."
Bramblewood was
beginning to reach out and grow. He was meeting new
friends, seeing new things and the less afraid he was the
more independent he became and as he learned, he applied
that knowledge everyone he went.
God says to
become wise, you must become a fool, which simply means we
must realize that compared to God, we know nothing and
without God we can do nothing. At least nothing that would
benefit the Kingdom. There are so
many in the educational field and other fields that see no
connection to God, but He doesn't need to prove Himself to anyone.
His rule is that we must accept Him by faith. It's
wonderful to discover new things and I think we should but
don't disregard the Creator who by His own hand, created
all things and much of it is for us to discover!

"Then I saw all
that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on
under the sun. Despite all his efforts to search it out,
man cannot discover its meaning. Even if a wise man claims
he knows, he cannot really comprehend it. (Ecclesiastes
8:17)
