A  Circle of Love

"He is only a puppy, Bramblewood," the Forest Guardian said to the little mouse when a small dog sniffed the group out in the forest. He is quite harmless. I'll bet you and he can become good friends. I want you to walk ahead to where he is waiting for you to play and take time to know him. Don't be afraid. Fawn will go with you."

The Forest Guardian wanted Bramblewood to take steps of faith when it came to things new and she wanted to coax him to be a bit more independent. So Bramblewood walked carefully toward the outer edges of the forest where the puppy sat waiting for him to play. The mouse reached him and said, "I'm Bramblewood. What is your name?"

"Bo-Lin." said the puppy. "Because I love to play in the water and in the forest! The sea is just a little ways ahead and we can put on a mask and swim about and look at all the beautiful things underwater if you want."

"The sea? What is the sea?" asked Bramblewood.

"Come and I'll show you!" replied the puppy anxiously. Bramblewood looked back at the Forest Guardian and saw that she approved. As they walked toward the ocean they talked and learned a little about each other until they reached the shore. Bramblewood was in awe of the beauty of it. He had no idea that God created such things.

"I've missed too much staying in my forest." said Bramblewood. "I didn't know how lovely other parts of the world were. I didn't know about puppies and oceans and look at all this loose earth!  Why is there so much of it?"

"It is sand. Sand is what makes the island which is the dry land we walk on. The more the sand, the bigger the island. There's a lot more of it under the water." said Bo-Lin.

Bramblewood had never dreamed of something so amazing and so beautiful and knew he would cherish this day, always. Bo-lin and Bramblewood did become very good friends. It was a new world and a new life for such a little mouse. He had a new-found sense of adventure and he had friends he loved very much.

Each of us has a Circle Of Love. Those in our family, our friends, our pets and sometimes, even our enemies become our loved ones. That is our Circle Of Love. We will keep them throughout Eternity. Those that we must remove from our lives (for different reasons) are taken out of our Circle. We will always have our Circle close to us, even in heaven. And so the Circle goes. I heard a sermon about that once. My pastor went on to say that we all have much work to do in heaven, and those in our Circle will be involved in our work and we will be involved in theirs. No, we won't stand around holding hands and following each other around, but we will always have our Circle close by---with just a 'thought' they will be there. Just like Jesus.  Jesus had a Circle while He ministered on earth. Both men and women were in His Circle.
One, named Judas, was taken out. . . .And so the Circle goes.
