Do Not Worry, My Friend
"Would you like
to go on a journey with us, Fawn?" asked Bramblewood.
"Where are you
going? Fawn questioned.
"We are traveling beyond my yard to see the wonders that
lie ahead." said Bramblewood anxiously. "We
leave early tomorrow morning. I have never
traveled past my own boundaries. I have asked the Forest
Guardian to come along just in case I need assistance."
"I see." said
Fawn with a smile. "One can never be too careful when
exploring the world." Fawn thought about how to approach Bramblewood
then said, "You know BrambleMouse, fear is a funny thing.
It has little to do with size. Some of the smallest
creatures are fearless. Some of the bravest souls are
those least expected to be. Are you a brave soul,
BrambleFriend?" asked Fawn.
"Well, brave
enough to face whatever may lie ahead." Bramblewood said
bravely. "I am brave if I need to be!
Fawn had to keep
from laughing. "Then I must go also!" said Fawn. "There is
safety in numbers and we can be brave together!"
Soon, their journey would begin. Bramblewood began to
think about the kind of creatures they may encounter along
the way and nervously said, "One never knows what one
might find in distant lands. Of course, there could be
gentle creatures like Fawn but there might not be."
Fawn knew the
land well and knew the creatures that lived throughout the
forests and villages. To Bramblewood a few may seem
strange, but I doubt they would be fierce, thought Fawn
with a chuckle. Even still, he is willing to face the
unknown and that can be a very scary thing for a little
mouse.
A mouse's ears are quite attune to
sounds, you know, and the slightest of noises they can hear
and that can lead Bramblewood to all sorts of imaginings.
The same is true for humans. Our strengths, our talents could also become our weakness if we rely on
only ourselves and not on Jesus for support and direction. It makes for a happier
mouse, and with people. . .for a much happier life.

Therefore do not
worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
