It was early May when we left Phoenix on a several-hour drive to see the amazing and historic town of Tombstone,
but before we got there, we drove into Tucson to visit the miniature horses.

When we arrived, we walked through the main gate and stayed on the path
which brought us to a very brightly colored house.

Miguel, who worked at the ranch, was our tour guide until this
little horse stepped in and took over. She knew the routine
and seemed to 'supervise' everything.

"I want you to know, this is my taxi!"

"My place is up front."

"One of you will sit up front with the driver."

"I used to be able to fit in here."

"Ronny, you can sit on the front bumper."

"Ok. You guys can follow me!"

"No, don't follow her. . .follow me back in here!"

"I bet she's stuck again."

"Hello late-comer. Have you paid for your ticket?"

"I don't believe him!"

"Is everyone ready? Let's go see some of my friends"

"If you'll look over here to where Mabel is standing,
you'll see some cactus. We always remember not to back into them."

"And here is where we like to eat. I choose my food
very carefully in this area."

"Me too!"

"Is she still back there showing off her cactus?"

"She'll be doing that all day! Let's get in the taxi."

"Now off to a different area.
How does my hair look?"

"Finally, here we are at the Maternity ward."

"Be gentle in this area. We're all pregnant!"

"Look alive, girls. We have visitors!"

"More spectators?  I can't wait."

"Since you're not doing anything useful,
can you come get this fly off my face!"

"Hurry up and take your picture."

"Mom, she's chewing on my arm again."

"Don't worry kid, she chews on everybody."

"And I'm here to protect my territory."

"If he doesn't stop rubbing my ear, it's going to fall off!"

"If you think you've got it rough, look what he's doing
to my forehead."

"Boss, don't look at them. Maybe they'll go away."

"They're not leaving, Mom!"

"Hmm, how can I get rid of these humans?"

"I know!
I'll give them a souvenir to take home."

"And if you follow me, I'll show you my manure pile."

"Hey, come back.  Was it something I said?."

"To heck with you if you can't take a joke!"

After we cleaned our shoes, we rested in the shade with a drink and fed the roosters, hens and other little critters.

We enjoyed our time holding the babies and watching them play,
but we were hot, tired and needed to get back on the road and head for Tombstone.

"And God took a handful of southernly wind, blew His breath over it and created the horse."
(Bedouin Legend)

I hope you enjoyed the tour of Picture Rocks Miniature Horse Ranch.
Now. . .we head to Tombstone and Boothill Cemetery for more great adventures!
